Position:  Service Technician (Pneumatic and DDC)

 

The Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, calibrating and servicing of commercial Pneumatic and DDC Building Automation / Energy Management Systems.

 

Service Technician tasks are as follows:

  • Serves existing and new accounts by completing work orders, investigating complaints, conducting tests, resolving problems and continued commissioning of systems.

  • Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing service and demonstrating repairs/improvements with customer.

  • Maintains relationship with customers by examining issues, creating solutions, suggesting improved operations and recommending cost effective improvements.

  • Keeps System operating efficiently by following operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, maintaining necessary supplies, performing preventive maintenance on Pneumatic and DDC Systems.

  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping their information confidential.

  • Continues growth in knowledge of Systems with classroom training and reading professional publications.

  • The Service Technician Position includes but is not limited to the job descriptions listed above The Service Technician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have experience doing service work for a Building Automation / Energy Management Systems contractor and the ability to work with a team.

  • Must have own hand tools.

  • Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience with both Pneumatic and DDC Systems is a Plus but not required
